Cellotonica at St George's
Posted 16/10/2018 11:59

On Friday students from Primary and Secondary were lucky enough to hear a performance from Cellotonica; two cellists and a pianist featuring one of our cello teachers, Ms Chen.

Cellotonica performed a Handel Sonata, originally written for two violins. Ms Chen taught the students about the history of Piatti, a celebrated musician in the Romantic era.

The students enjoyed asking questions and learning all about the cello. Ms Chu demonstrated what vibrato is and the students were able to vote for pieces they liked with or without vibrato. For a finale, primary and secondary students enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean by Hans Zimmer.

If you would like to hear Cellotonica in concert, they are performing on the 27th October in Trier.
