Silver qualifying expedition for Mérite Jeunesse

The Silver qualifying expedition for Mérite Jeunesse took place from Saturday 8 to Monday 10 September in the Vosges region of France. Students hiked from Gerardmer to Granges-sur-Vologne on day 1, then to Langemer on day 2 and finished at La Bresse on day 3. We enjoyed 3 days of warm sunshine and the 2 teams were able to demonstrate their navigation, teamwork and campcraft skills. Each team was self-sufficient for the 3 days, as per the requirements for
Mérite Jeunesse. It was a pleasure to accompany these cheerful, determined and able students.
