Students in Year 7 attended a workshop organised by Mr Wiltgen of the Unity Foundation in Luxembourg, a charity that oversees education projects in Africa. Students are currently studying the book I am Malala in their English  lessons and the visit was organised to draw attention to how the charity helps young people in places like Mali to gain access to education and how valuable that education is in providing opportunities in later life. Students completed discussion workshops drawing parallels with Malala’s situation in Pakistan and learning about the struggles that young people face just going to school and getting a decent education.
