Year 7 Students Visit Family of Man Exhibit
Posted 27/10/2017 15:30
On Friday 20th October, Year 7 students visited The Family of Man photography exhibition in Clervaux Castle. This visit was to support their learning in English and Art where they are working on the themes of human rights and autobiography. The Family of Man exhibition was curated by Edward Steichen in 1955 and is considered to be a visual representation of the United Nations’ 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In their feedback, the students clearly understood the core message of the exhibition, which is about the fundamental equality of mankind, and they continue to discuss and reflect on this message in their lessons.
