St George's News
Find out what's happening at St George's!

Dear parents,
It is our duty to inform you that we have been instructed by the Luxembourg government to suspend the attendance of all students at the school from the 16th March onward until the 29th March inclusive. All other schools in Luxembourg have been given the same instructions. Therefore no lessons or extra-curricular activities will take place during this time. As you are aware, we have already provided your son or daughter with online access to lessons and activities which broadly mirror our curriculum content and pace. These lessons can be attended remotely from home.
Please ask your son or daughter to attend school as normal tomorrow. We will provide further information and guidance during the day.
The school will operate during this period with an essential staff of administration personnel present. We will arrange a rota so that all staff can support their own children and families during this time. Teachers and Teaching Assistants may be working remotely from home and we will keep the school community updated of further developments.
We will continue to communicate with the parent community during this time directly and keep you informed on a regular basis. Please let us know during this period if there is a confirmed case in your family of the COVID-19 virus so that we can assist you with further measures in the circumstances. Many thanks for your understanding.
The St George’s community in Luxembourg is a positive and supportive one, drawn from over 60 different nationalities. We are mindful of the difficult circumstances these restrictions will place on our families and we hope that all our friends and colleagues will support each other during this time of temporary closure.
