Happy Birthday Carl Philippe!
We had a more relaxing day today, apart from walking up the 400+ steps to the Citadel, where we had a guided tour, explaining how the citadel was used to defend the town and the bridge over the Meuse, as well as getting an idea of the life of the soldiers in the barracks and seeing an exhibit of sand sculptures of Disney characters.
There was also time to visit the souvenir shop before our boat cruise along the Meuse, through the locks to the upper river and back again.
Back in Dinant, we visited the main church and the Adolph Sax museum.
The children are providing the entertainment tonight, because it's the Year 6 Talent Show!
