Having good self-esteem is so important for children. A child with good self-esteem feels happy about themselves, can identify their strengths and is confident about trying new experiences. All these traits will help a child to be a successful learner because having good self-esteem helps them to cope with difficulties in their school work, but also means that they will be willing to come out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves in their work. Having good self-esteem also helps a child to cope with difficulties in friendships and setbacks in their personal or family life.
